Greenberg Quinlan Rosner congratulates President Mikheil Saakashvili of the Republic of Georgia, who appears headed for re-election, based on preliminary results from the country’s January 5 election. Saakashvili, who came to office in 2004 after helping to lead Georgia’s “Rose Revolution,” is projected to win just under 53 percent of the vote among a field of seven candidates.
