Donald Trump won the US presidency on an anti-immigration platform and moved ahead with a 'Muslim ban' and the border wall. But advertisers at the Super Bowl understood the real America where a large majority believes immigrants strengthen our country. Even white working class men are divided on the issue.
They might have been brave, but I would guess they know their market, their own employees, America's identity and the broad comfort with diversity, particularly among millennials and dynamic cities. They may be betting on the future.
